Since earning my Eagle Scout rank at age 16, I have spent decades in challenging myself to not only understand, but create repeatable, proven leadership knowledge, methods, techniques, and tools enabling me to succeed and help others. This is why I founded TYIIR Institute, LLC, focused on being the best “for” the world in helping others be the best Intuitive Transformational Leader, and Intuitive Transformational Officer they can be.
After serving 12 years in the US Navy active duty on fast attack submarines, and Special Projects Deep Submergence Unit, I was honorably discharged due to the Navy downsizing, and looked to see what challenges awaited in the commercial world. For the next decade my focus was on testing out my transformational leadership theory and process, what has become the TYIIR System©, being successful when;
- Others have failed two, three or more times prior to me
- Others said ___ could not be done
- Transform an idea into reality when others could not see or come up with a path forward, a solution.
It didn’t matter what industry, size, scope, amount of $$$, resources…etc. regardless of the situation, my team and I were able to succeed, getting the most out of what the reality of the situation would offer, by trusting in and following the process.

What has surprised me most regarding the Transforming Your Ideas Into Reality (TYIIR) journey, is how personal the journey is for a leader.
The book TYIIR shares the insights into working with one’s self, a self teaching guide, guiding you as you think, do, and lead using the TYIIR System©, a proven process to acheive results / success.
The deeper I dove into the details, the more I learned, the greater the techniques I developed, the realization brought me back to one very simple starting point… the individual themselves… the leader within the individual. More specifically, what is at the very core of the individual. The single most important question for developing leadership skills is to ask yourself; “What do I feel in my heart when I lead?”

The book KIS (Keep Intuition Simple) is a one year deep dive into a leader’s self, providing an experiential how to guide for taking concepts of self and anchoring them into tangible action items. The result is an increase in one’s confidence, faith, and trust to lead… to help their team and/or organization go where they have not been.

After publishing the books TYIIR and KIS, I took a year to share my leadership work, findings with others who would like to help others, to help leaders lead. The result is the creation of Intelligence Catalyst. Intelligence Catalyst consists of a core team working with, partnering with like minded industry leaders from around the globe to bring to you and your organization industry leading best practices, knowledge, methods and tools on how to lead and achieve results.
Dr. Kenneth E. Russell and myself have teamed up to co-author the book Transact, Transform, Transcend, Becoming a Thoughtful Leader: Stories from the Journey, how one can be the best leader they can be. Through stories, we share a leader’s journey as a manager or leader has to change gears between transactional, transformational, and transcendent leadership to provide their team or organization they type of leader it needs for that moment in time.

Over the years, I have seen a lot of people struggle, fall on hard times, experience tragedy, receive or awarded great things in their life. Regardless if these experiences were good or bad or just plain ol’ every day life, WE ALL STRUGGLE! I believe struggling is just a part of life.. it is how we are taught lessons and learn. The real challenge is how do you react to that struggle which is why I have teamed up folks and created Harmony Serenity Gratitude (HSG) Sanctuary. HSG Sanctuary is an on-line virtual community where you can find information, knowledge, methods, tools, and “a community” of others like you to help you with what you need during your struggles. In addition, I have teamed up with the folks at Liberty Oaks, helping to transform the Liberty Oaks vision into reality. Liberty Oaks is a beautiful, historic, nature-centered homestead providing a physical retreat for wellness. Our intent is to bring together like-hearted people to provide solutions that help them work better, feel better, and live better.
